The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) is an international research institute based in Trieste, Italy, operating under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Founded in 1964, ICTP is widely regarded as a world-class centre for advancing knowledge in the physical and mathematical sciences, conducting frontier research in areas such as cosmology, quantum computing, climate science, and quantitative life sciences. With a permanent faculty of distinguished scientists, the Centre provides advanced training and mentorship to early-career researchers from around the world. Each year, ICTP brings together thousands of scientists from over 150 countries, fostering international collaboration and scientific exchange.
